The outfits are fine (even someone as color-deficient as I can appreciate them), but I think the tattoos detract from the effect.
I would say your title sums it up well. The rainbow makes a nice symbol for a movement, but a lousy theme for fashion.
The Real Rainbow Bright wouldn't have a tramp stamp!
